The melting point of lead-free solder is about 20 ~ 45 °C higher than traditional solder. It has poorer wettability, lower fluidity, and is more easily oxidized. Therefore, faster soldering speed and higher soldering temperature are required. However, considering the thermal capacity and the quality of electronic components during soldering, when using lead-free solder, the tip temperature is usually set below 320 °C.
